Authentic and genuine family owned and operated diner! Lots of things made fresh completely from scratch in the kitchen, a rarity these days. Something for everyone on the menu for both breakfast and lunch. Cash only, so be prepared.
Absolutely the best pancakes that I have tasted in a very long time. If you are like me, and steer away from pancakes because they just don't taste as good as your great-grandmother's, you have to eat a stack at this cafe. The first bite literally took me to my grandmother's table. I could not be happier with my breakfast today. The service is consistent, the atmosphere is cozy, and.... well you know what I think about the food. 5/5 all around.

What a treat this place is. Very small they only have about six or eight tables the place is packed on the weekend so be prepared. Not a great place for kids because of the weight and the tight quarters however I do see a lot of children here. The food is outstanding and the service is very homey feeling
They have some of the best pancakes. They are made from scratch and you can definitely tell. The staff is very friendly. The holiday pancakes they make with nutmeg, and cinnamon, molasses are awesome too.
Green Bay Cafe is the crown jewel of Winnetka! You feel comfortable as soon as you walk in--not only is it adorably cozy inside, but the staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast skillets are so delicious! The food has a homemade feel but is well worth the price and better than any breakfast I could make at home. I highly, highly recommend Green Bay Cafe!
